Hello! I’m Ellie, an artist, illustrator and graphic designer.
I was born in France, went to school in England, to university in Scotland, trained in Sydney and, having moved back to Europe five years ago, I am now lucky enough to split my time between London and south-west France.
My design and artwork is similarly varied. First and foremost I would describe myself as a creative, willing and able to dive into a wide range of projects.
I love collaborating with others, and find myself working in a range of mediums. Many of my pieces mix pencil and ink illustrations with photographic collages. It was one of these that caught the eye of the infinitely inspiring designer Matthew Williamson which, as fortune would have it, lead to us collaborating on the cover of his new book ‘Matthew Williamson: Fashion, Print and Colouring Book’ .
As well as collaborating with incredible designers and exhibiting my work, I am fortunate enough to be involved with Protégé, an amazing charity working with young people who have fallen through the cracks of mainstream education. With a network stretching across local authorities, schools and agencies, students who could benefit from a unique learning approach are identified and offered the opportunity to work with artists and creatives such as myself, to design their own education. So there you have it, my life and work in a nutshell.
Now over to you, do you have a project/artwork in mind? Whatever it might be, I’d love to hear about it, and maybe even just bring it to life for you…
