Ellie Vandoorne is a French/British artist and designer, working in an array of mediums and on a variety of projects.
Daughter to an English mother and French father, Ellie spent much of her childhood and education on both sides of the channel. After studying at St Andrews (Scotland) and La Sorbonne (Paris), she moved to Sydney to study graphic design and illustration. Following five years in Sydney working in interior and graphic design she moved back to Europe in 2012.
It was in London that Ellie would hold her first exhibition in 2015, which proved to be a sell-out. Since then she has worked on a wide range of projects and commissions, collaborating with the likes of Matthew Williamson and Harrods to name a few.
Ellie Vandoorne is best known for her eye-catching female portraits which have become increasingly sought after by private and corporate collectors alike.
Many years on, Ellie still splits her time between France and England. In 2017 she moved to the Béarn region of France whilst still returning and exhibiting regularly within the London art scene.
