Siargao by sea, Philippines 2015

From surfing to swimming and island hopping, it’s easy to spend as much time on water than on land.

On our first day we met Junior (sunglasses), a local with a boat, a lot of time and a love of surf. There was barely a day we didn’t board his boat, usually to head to Stimpy’s or Rock Island (breaks only reachable by boat – unless you’re a champion paddler). When one didn’t feel like surfing (because the waves were terrifying), one could snorkel around the reef, boogie board or just lie back, soak up the rays, breath in the salty breeze and think of the rest of world at work. Fools.
